Why the NPOV tag

[edit]

There is a Jerusalem Governorate and it's capital is Jerusalem. Robin Hood 1212 15:12, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

you can't call a capital something you don't even control. I claim Paris is my capital, let's make an article of it. Amoruso 16:03, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification

[edit]

What does "Jerusalem or (East Jerusalem)" mean? Is the intended meaning of this that though they call the capital "Jerusalem" they are referring only to the eastern part? nadav (talk) 00:50, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Occupied

[edit]

In the beginning of the "Politics" section, it says that East Jerusalem is "occupied" by Israel. However, East Jerusalem is a de facto part of Israel, though the legality of the annexation is disputed. Thus, E. Jerusalem's political status is complicated. We should instead put that it is held by Israel and considered occupied by the world.--RM (Be my friend) 15:48, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect

[edit]

Quds Governorate should be changed to Jerusalem Governorate. Quds Governorate is the Arabic name, if we follow this, then Hebron Governorate should be Al-Khalil Governorate. Better is to redirect it to Jerusalem Governorate. Only in Arabic Wikipedia, this name is suitable Kharbaan Ghaltaan (talk) 10:47, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
